☑️ Discount values

  • Percentage

  • Fixed amount

  • Quantity breaks

  • Price breaks

Percentage

Percentage based discount values requires a number between 1-100 and is the standard use case for discounts.

Fixed amount

A fixed amount based discount value allows for any positive number to be added as the discount value, and is great for promotions where keeping track of fixed dollar figures is better for your reporting.

Quantity break

Quantity break discounts apply a percentage or a fixed amount based on if a customer has specific quantities in their cart. This is a great option for B2B customers, pro/VIP customers, and resellers.

Price break

Price break discounts apply a percentage or a fixed amount based on if a customer has a minimum dollar amount in their cart. This is a great way to offer special pricing to customers that meet price criteria in their cart.

👤 Customer eligibility

  • All customers

  • Specific customer tags

  • Specific customers

  • Customers with a specific email domain

  • Customers with a specific metafield value

Customer eligibility contains options for who the discount can apply to. The majority of customer eligibility options require the customer to be logged in to your store, or use the same email that is stored in their customer record in your Shopify store in order to trigger the discount function at checkout. If you choose "All customers" then the discount will work for anyone on the storefront as long as that customer meets any other criteria.

All customers

The discount will be available to all customers that visit the store, if other criteria options are met.

Specific customer tags

Discount will only be applied if the customer record has a specified tag. This setting can contain multiple tags. For example, if you want to offer a special discount for customers that are tagged with 'newsletter' or 'vip', you would choose that option in Strike and those customers would automatically get the discount applied to their cart.

Specific customers

The discount will only be applied to the specified customer or customers.

Customers with a specific email domain

The discount will only be applied to the specified customer's email domain. For example, if you wanted to offer a discount to people from Shopify, you would enter shopify.com.

Customers with a specific metafield value

The discount will only be applied if the customer meets the conditions specified to the metafield value. For example: if you have a customer metafield list type that stores the customer's favorite color, you could set the metafield value to blue and run a campaign for customers to purchase discounted blue products from your store.

➕ Minimum/Maximum purchase requirements

Minimum purchase requirements

Minimum purchase requirements allow you to set a minimum price or quantity of items before applying the discount to a customer's cart.

Maximum purchase requirements

Maximum purchase requirements allow you to set a maximum price or quantity of items before applying the discount to a customer's cart.

🤝 Discount combinations

Discount combinations specify whether or not a discount can stack on top of other discounts you have created (in Shopify, or otherwise).

⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ This can lead to large discounts on your products, so make sure you test your discount combinations to ensure they are what you want to offer. ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️

⛔️ Maximum discount uses

Maximum discount uses allow you to set the total number of times a discount can be used by any customer and whether or not a customer can use the discount more than one time.

🗓️ Active dates

Active dates allow you to schedule your discounts to start and/or end on any future date. The active date for when you start your discount has to be on the day you're creating it, a discount cannot be created retroactively.

🖥️ Theme Display

We highly recommend using a Shopify theme that displays discount titles and values at the cart level (all OS 2.0 themes support this feature). More display options coming soon!
